Pension Policy Center Director Turner is the 2018 and 2023 winner of the Simplification Award of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel, and is the only two-time award winner. This award is for the best proposal for simplifying pension law.
Social Security for Future Generations, published in 2026, focuses on proposals for Social Security OASI reform. Our proposals cover a broad range of issues concerning Social Security solvency, equity, simplification, and updating. They could make its benefit and tax provisions more understandable for people with moderate or lower levels of financial literacy, which is most people. Our proposals for reforming the reform process could facilitate the current needed reform. By facilitating earlier reforms, they could result in smaller, easier-to-pass reforms and a more equitable sharing of the burden across generations.
